Neumarkt 14, Dresden
Some time ago we visited Dresden and we discovered Johannas right on Neumarkt. We visited the Johannas and were greeted by the friendly service. The Johannas is a very clean coffee with many regional products. We liked it here very much and visited it again at different times of the day. We tried different dishes. Whether it was breakfast, the hot meals, or the cake with a good cup of coffee, everything was delicious. And then there is the good location with a view of and over the Neumarkt and the Frauenkirche. Dresden is worth a trip and I recommend everyone to visit Johannas and enjoy it.
Very nice place for a nice breakfast. The muesli is highly recommended!
Very tasty breakfast, friendly service, reasonable prices
Very unfriendly service. We left again. Impossible.
Very cozy little café with nice service and delicious breakfast! You sit very quietly on the first floor! Definitely try it out
Super friendly and courteous service, great ambience and breakfast as well as coffee and cake can be enjoyed here wonderfully! If we are in Dresden again, another visit is guaranteed!
Highly recommended for breakfast as well as for a cup of coffee and a delicious piece of cake. Apart from the beautiful location and the cozy ambience, you are really in good hands here with the service!
Very cozy café in a nice atmosphere right in the city center. Price-performance is great. I'll be back next time I visit Dresden. :)
Cozy café with a pleasant atmosphere, delicious cakes and very friendly and attentive service.
Food and cake are really delicious. Unfortunately far too few staff, resulting in extreme waiting times. Stood at the entrance for 20 minutes today. Then we were seated at the table, but had to stop because we had to wipe off first. When we were still standing after 15 minutes, we left. Pity!
Delicious and nice great location. The portions are a bit too small for the price ratio.
...everything fitted. Very friendly service, delicious food and great weather.
We liked Johannas very much during our stay in Dresden. We were served very friendly and the dishes were very good. We have come here several times and were able to try both the breakfast and hot meals as well as the cake. Everything very tasty. In addition, a wonderful coffee and also the beautiful location with a view of the Neumarkt and the Frauenkirche. I can only recommend everyone who comes to Dresden to make a detour to Johannas.
We were there for two on September 18, 2020 from 11:37 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. for breakfast. There was nothing wrong with food and drinks, and the space right in front of the Frauenkirche is also great. However, the two wait staff are busy and there are very long waiting times.
Cool café with an attached liquor store. Nice service and great cakes! You can buy homemade jam at the counter. The shop is a refreshing change from the very dignified locations around the Frauenkirche.
Whenever we're in Dresden, we're always at Johannas at least once. Delicious traditional Saxon food for a reasonable price. ??very warm, friendly and permanent staff, for whom no additional request is too much. What is possible is made possible. This is pure home. Lg from Frankfurt am Main
Service completely helpless & overwhelmed - we didn't see anyone inside either - don't know what's going on ⁉️ possibly. think about more staff-after 15min. We left without addressing or paying attention
When ordering, the waitress informed us of somewhat longer waiting times. We then left after 1.5 hours and only paid for our relatively expensive orange juice. The waiting times for an omelet and a cereal were anything but proportionate for us. We would have loved to have breakfast there. The view was nice.
We went to Johanna today and ate delicious cakes and a delicious cappuccino. Martin, the owner was always super friendly and attentive. He also had time for nice conversations. ? We also enjoyed the beer and the Aperol. Should we come to Dresden again, it will surely drive us there again. We sat outside with a view of the Frauenkirche, but it also looks very cozy and inviting inside :)
great coffee in a beautiful city ...
Super slow service, food was subpar. Got the oatmeal and it came with half the fruit shown in the photo. Spent half an hour baking in the sun waiting for our food to arrive.
Don't come here for food, it's not at all worth it. I paid 17 bucks for the smallest portion of Gulasch I've ever seen in my life. It was good but very little :( Edit: I do admit, the food was quite good, even the side salad coming with my food was delicious, and I did not actually complain to the staff about the size of my portion. So, I'll admit my error and revise my posting. I do still feel a little weird about asking staff for bigger portions and I think most people would, there could be a small variant of that plate instead I guess but whatever. Thanks for the answer :)
This shop is reminiscent of the days of my grandmother and invites you to linger with his simple but chic shame. Is not just something for tourists, but for Dresden lovers, who in time u.a. Abducted by Erich Kästner. Correctly fitting to the Dresden Neumarkt.
